When you first press down on the accelerator, there is a delay before anything actually happens. Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) systems cause this as they take the signal from the accelerator pedal when you press it and send it to the vehicle’s ECU. The basic steps of the Pedal Commander® installation are always the same regardless of the vehicle's make and model:

Turn off the ignition and wait 10-15 minutes with your driver's door open to allow your ECU to shut down.

Disconnect your accelerator pedal assembly plug, then plug in the heads to connectors on the Pedal Commander® harness.

Clean up the area where you want to mount the control unit with the alcohol wipe. Stick the bracket with the supplied velcro.

After you make sure the cables are secure and won't be tangled, you are ready to enjoy Pedal Commander®.

This product does precisely what it says it does. No horsepower increase, but you feel it like 100 HP was added to the car. The dead pedal on these cars is extreme. Great work to the whole crew. The biggest danger in running one of these is running up on a car in front of you too fast. So that is where the adjustment to city mode comes in. I fell in love with my SL 55 AMG again. Okay, so I will need a newer pair of contis in the back...small price to pay!!!

This is my second unit. I added one to a Subaru Crosstrek which is a dog and it helped a lot. This care has a V8 and I thought it would be less of a difference in what it accomplishes but it actually makes more of an impact with a motor that has more capability to be tuned for performance. Its really nice how you can switch between settings so easily because its definitely a different setting you want or sport driving in open country vs. rush hour traffic vs standard city travel. I go up and down about a 10 click range depending on where I'm driving in both cars. It couldn't be an easier install either and the app makes it even easier to make changes especially at night. I think this is all thats needed in most cases and you might be wasting your money on CAT back exhaust systems and cold air intakes, a bunch of noise and a barely noticeable difference. I speak from experience.

Got this for my Mercedes SL55 AMG. WOW what a difference! I can't believe how much faster the car is just by adding this device! Sport mode Level 2 or 3 is my favorite- go any higher and the thing is so touchy and quick off the line it really isn't practical for anything but the drag strip or liquifying tires. If I didn't know any better, I would swear I added a 100HP to the car- it seriously is THAT big of a difference. Ordering for My Ram 2500 next. I highly recommend this product- absolutely does what it is advertised to do!
