Is it safe to use Pedal Commander throttle response controller?
Absolutely. Pedal Commander does not permanently change anything on your vehicle or interfere with how the engine or other components run. It only releases the performance that is restricted by the manufacturer. The unit is tested and certified by leading authorities and automotive organizations, and has FCC, CE, CARB, and TUV certifications. It is a totally safe performance upgrade.
App-Controlled driving modes unlock the real potential of your vehicle.
The unit allows you to fine-tune the throttle response. It has four modes with a total of 36 settings. You can dial down the response for better efficiency, improved traction, or use it as a valet mode when you need it. You can switch modes from the controller itself, or you can go full wireless and use the free mobile app. All you have to do is download the app from your application store, pair your Pedal Commander unit via Bluetooth, and you’re ready to go full wireless!
Will the Pedal Commander void my warranty?
No, it does not void the manufacturer's warranty. Many tuning products leave “flags” on the ECU, and even if you uninstall them, the ECU saves the “flagged data” and makes it easy for the dealership to detect that the vehicle is or has been altered. Pedal Commander does not interfere with the ECU and does not leave these flags, so even if it’s not removed from the vehicle, the system is undetectable by the dealers’ computers.
Just make sure that the unit is turned off and the controller is tucked away from sight, or uninstall and put it away, just in case the technicians do not see it when you go in for service.
Does the Pedal Commander throttle controller increase horsepower?
No, it does not. A big misconception is that throttle controllers add horsepower. Pedal Commander only modifies the throttle signal and regulates it for a better throttle response. It does not have to do anything with the engine or the ECU, and it does not add more horsepower to your vehicle.
Will the Pedal Commander throttle response controller work with my aftermarket engine tuner/programmer?
Yes it does. Pedal Commander complements any kind of vehicle modification and engine tune. It only intercepts the electronic signal and remaps the throttle curve. You can integrate Pedal Commander throttle response controller to every kind of vehicle project or build.
Does the Pedal Commander work on manual transmission?
Yes! Pedal Commander is just as effective on manual transmissions as it is on automatics.
Plug & Play Installation with no tools or permanent changes.
Pedal Commander installs in under 15 minutes. You don’t need any tools or a deep vehicle expertise. Turn your vehicle off, wait 15 minutes with the keyfob 35 feet away from your vehicle to make sure the ECU fully shuts off. Then simply unplug the factory connector from your gas pedal sensor, and plug in the Pedal Commander plugs. That’s it!
